Big aha moment for me yesterday at Rally in Indy! Sat down down to listen to the pitch finalists for the $1m award yesterday. Thought I could take away ideas from the way they pitched, things they said, deck format, etc.. WRONG MOVE. What I REALLY took away was the questions from the judges. All the pitch & deck prep in the work don't matter if you can't be confident and clear in answering their questions. Here were a few questions I jotted down - and will be practicing in the future! - Talk about your biz model - How do you think about your moat (to competition)? - Who acquires you and why? - Where did first clients come from and how do you replicate it? (Where did you find them?) - Integration? - Break down revenue by sector & use case - If company fails in the next 5 yrs, why? Two other observations: - Theresa Reno-Weber CRUSHED this. - Holy smokes, if you find yourself sitting in front of Aman Brar Patrick Henshaw Heath Butler & Pat East --> you better bring your A game. 🥵
