Going forward I will be sharing examples of unbelievably successful partnerships that our company has in the marketplace that create tremendous value for our clients - and create job opportunities for thousands of people! Today's example shows how recruitment has truly become an issue being discussed at the top levels of companies. A multinational chain of family theme parks sought assistance in hiring various roles for their resorts in California and New York given the fact that front line, hourly positions are not as attractive as they once were - and there is therefore a shortage of workers for these types of roles.PeopleScout conducted market research and identified three main challenges: - remote work- candidate preferences- higher payTo address these challenges, and given that our client was not able to increase wages, PeopleScout created a recruitment marketing effort that: - emphasized the enjoyable aspects of on-site work- optimized job titles and descriptions- highlighted competitive benefits instead of raising wages. The candidate journey was streamlined, application abandonment rates decreased, and social outreach generated 4.1 million impressions and 30,000 clicks. The results were incredibly successful, with 1,336 hires in California and 190 in New York within the first six months! Great stats to dive into in this report. The power of parks can only keep up if we invest and empower our seasonal teams just as much as our year round teams!

It kicked my ass, but it also honed my skills, expanded my perspectives, and fortified my resilience. This "Abusem*nt Park" experience taught me to embrace the struggle, transform pressure into power, and mold chaos into strategic creativity. Each tough moment was a harsh teacher, but the lessons learned were invaluable. So, here's the hard truth: the toughest, grittiest, ass-kicking jobs often push you to grow, adapt, and innovate in ways that a cushy, comfortable role never will.Visit your career's "Abusem*nt Park". The summer is finally here. After a few tumultuous years, life is starting to feel normal again.Outdoor concerts, festivals, and summer camps have picked up where they left off in 2019, and while things have changed, it’s nice to see events in full swing. Many residual effects of the pandemic, however, are still very prevalent. Homeowners who invested in dream backyards during the height of the lock-down had their patience tested. The demand for pools was at an all-time high between 2021 and 2022, and every reputable builder across the GTA was booked for months in advance. This left the homeowner searching high and low for a pool contractor to build them their backyard getaway. Landscapers, outdoor contractors, and lawn maintenance companies we’re looking to get into pool building. As an unregulated industry, anyone can start up a pool company; and anyone did and unfortunately, the quality of these projects were below standards. As a result, we filtered a LOT of calls this spring from homeowners who were left with less than a dream backyard when the dust settled. Common issues and complaints; poor craftsmanship, inexperience with hydraulics and drainage, and in some cases, being ghosted by contractors who just stop taking calls. As demand cools in a market where unestablished companies try to hang on, we urge you to do your due diligence. Read reviews. Contact references. Visit job sites. When it comes to experience, expertise, and the ability to handle a crisis, you want to know you’re covered.https://lnkd.in/esRf6gug

While this seems funny at first glance, the sad reality is that this does happen from time to time within the zoo industry, particularly in places where the management of a zoo or safari park is overseen by people with poor to no management skills. These zoos or safari parks will often employed staff with little to no experience becausethey are cheaper than experienced staff or because they are friends or relatives of those doing the employing. If we in the zoo industry wish to continue moving ahead and be taken seriously as a professional industry, then all should shun this type of behavior.Hiring inexperienced staff to care for the collection or to oversee the daily management of the park because they are a cheaper alternative to the more experienced professionals within our industry in an attempt to save a few dollars, is often the mistake made by poor managers and is a sure fire recipe for disaster. The saying "you get what you pay for" is definitely true in the case of your park.If the staff caring for the collection, guiding, or management only consider their position as just a job and have no passion for what they do, then how can anyone except them to do their job to a high level and to have any loyalty to your zoo or safari park.timhusband2005@gmail.com
