Housing is critical to anyone's survival, which is why fair housing is so important. Sadly, justice impacted people are not given this same protection. Even with more than enough money, we are often denied rental after rental and either redlined into high crime areas or denied housing altogether and forced into homelessness. How can we expect someone to make a successful reentry if we cannot offer them affordable housing in a safe community where they can thrive? And how does denying someone safe housing serve any public safety goal? #WeDeserveFairHousingToo
