BBC Saturday Kitchenviewers threatened to 'switch off' after slamming Lulu as the 'most irritating guest ever' during the latest episode.
Joined by Matt Tebbutt andGeorgina Hayden, Genevieve Taylor, and Jason Atherton, the Scottish singers, 75, left viewers less than impressed.
Lulu ruffled feathers amongst viewers by frequently referencing her age and how her grandchildren keep her hip.
She also criticised the seasoning Matt, 50, used for his chicken and randomly broke out into song - namely Music by John Miles.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, they wrote:'Jesus wept. Lulu is THE most insufferable annoying person to watch ever. @SaturdayKitchen';

They wrote: 'I thought lulu on Saturday kitchen was very loud and obnoxious and why did she feel the need to keep mentioning her age?';

'I know Saturday Kitchen is on every week but they can't have run out of guests already that they have to have Lulu on?';

On the show Matt asked: 'Has the social media side sort of changed things for you? When you get that knowledge that people want you back out there?'

Lulu replied: 'Immediately. You get reviews and things like that - it's marvellous. That part is incredible. I mean, there's some incredible things about social media, absolutely. But, of course, when you're 75 it's hard to keep up with it all!'
As Matt started to speak again, the singer interrupted: 'My grandchildren help me. Teddy and Bella. They keep me up to the minute, yeah.'
However, Matt seemed amused by Lulu's shenanigans, as did as select few viewers.
Fans of Lulu, full name Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, or just casual viewers of the show, showed their appreciation at having her on and admonished those being cruel
They wrote: 'Lulu's on Saturday Kitchen - whoop' followed by a party hat emoji;
'Lulu is great fun, and a proper old school personality. Not sure why the negativity on here. I’m really enjoying it and could listen to her all day';

The To Sir, With Love star and theme song singer went on to have several more top-10 hits and release 15 studio albums.

Lulu announced her retirement from touring in February following a glittering 60-year career- saying she felt 'unsupported' dealing with the heavy demands of touring last year.
She is currently on the Champagne For Lulu tour and she does one thing each day to protect her voice.
Lulu told the BBCin April: 'I don't speak before 12 noon.I can understand why you think I'm lying but no, I'm very disciplined.
'I try not to come out of my room until 12. It makes it easier. I take care of my instrument. It allows me to sing.'
