  Awesome professor! Makes the class follow along with premade notes, but they are EXTREMELY helpful and easy to understand. He makes the math so easy to grasp from his lectures. The quizzes and exams are also straightforward. If you want to get a good grade, I highly recommend to do his (optional) homework assignments, too!

  He is very snarky, and his grading criteria is very strict and super difficult to bring up. He does not show what you have in the class the entire semester, and his quizzes AND tests have nothing to do with the questions you will be learning in class. He teaches and talks way too fast, as if we know the information already

  Professor Phengpis was one of the best prof I've have at CSULB. Finance isn't the easiest class but he made it simple and straight forward. If you have the opportunity to take him I would highly suggest it!

  Such a good professor! Finance isn't easy but Chanwit made it easy for us and always made us laugh during lectures. No homework but if you want to do well on exams, you need to do the homework. He also allows a one sided 8.5x11 cheat sheet for exams.

  I am so grateful that Chanwit was my professor for this course. His lectures were very informative and he does an excellent review session for each exam! Attendance counts and his grading criteria is clear and fair. Exams play a huge part in your grade so it is important that you still study to the best of your abilities.

  He is the best! I was so intimidated going into it but he honestly laid out the concepts pretty straight forward. There is heavy weight on exams so take studying seriously! You can have a one sided cheat sheet. Hw is optional but it's essential to success for exams. Overall the prof is funny and super knowledgeable! He is always in my hearrrrrrrrrt

  Probably the best professor I've had so far. He is so funny and caring about his students. The hw is what is going to help you do good on his exams. Walks you through what you are doing during lecture. He is super easy to talk to and always open to help you.

  Took Prof fall 22. He creates fill in the blank notes so its easy to follow along and pay attention during lecture. He's a fast talker so you have to be on your toes during class. Randomly checked attendance. A few proctored quizzes, but open note and 5 questions. Very exam and math heavy. Homework is optional, but KEY to being successful.

  Professor Phengpis is awesome, no HW other than test prep. Attendance matters & is taken randomly so show up, you'll want to anyway because his lectures help make the material easy. Weekly open note quizzes that prep you for all exams & Prof. Phengpis allows a cheat sheet for exams. Overall amazing & best teacher I could have chosen for FIN300.

  HE IS SO COOL. He has a thick accent, but wears a mic and talks loud and clear.The accent isn't relevant after the first couple classes and you just get used to it. He gives random attendance checks, but its in your best interest to go to class and they arefunlectures. He makes his own fillin theblank notes and gives you a cheat sheet on the test.

  I took Finance 300 during the last six weeks of summer class online. He provides class notes for each chapter and you just follow along to write with him. Also, he records lectures every time and post them on BeachBoard. Open notes on exams and a few quizzes on each chapter. I would definitely recommend him for business finance professor.
