Easy A, dont have to go to class that often (but still go cuz its fun). Hes a dope and caring guy, funny too. Barely any hw. Take it for the easy GE. PS: if ur pledging, take this class, can def clear up ur schedule more as u dont need to go

easy, fun class, little to no homework. you need to attend 3 plays per semester (60 for a class pass or 25 per play). you also need the keys to acting textbook to answer some homework questions (60 or cheaper elsewhere). the plays take place on saturdays around 2pm and are very weird and entertaining. fyi you can have up to 5 absences in class.

If you're okay with performing in front of others and doing a bunch of weird exercises, you'll love this class. I would not recommend this class to anyone whose shy. He is an amazing professor that teaches a very fun class. He does give you homework but they are incredibly easy and not time consuming at all. Easy class to make friends in too.

Took this class my Spring Semester 2023. Professor Hutchman is such a kind soul! I was never the type to get out of my comfort zone but his class honestly allowed me to break away from the tiny voice in my head that shut me down. In-class participation is so fun. There is an online textbook but the work in it is so easy, it is impossible to fail.

TAKE HIM!!! Out of all the professors I have had, he was definitely my favorite. He is very friendly and funny and makes his class so fun. He basically said that as long as you participate, you will receive an A. We had an online textbook with small assignments but they are very easy, all subjective. If you need to fill a category C, TAKE THIS ONE

Easily the best theatre class I've ever taken. He made it so fun and made students excited to show up to class. It's very easy to make friends in here, you will need them for this class. Textbook homework is insanely easy. Only assignments in class are group performances which are very fun. Would definitely take this class again.

This is a very fun class and Rich makes it a very fun experience. You are guaranteed an A in this class if you attend all his classes and do all the work. He will sometimes pop jokes here and there to try and make your day better. If you engage, participate, and try, then this class will be a stress reliever.

Honestly, this class is super easy if you do all the work. All we did was exercises outside at most 2 scenes that we had to act out with people and 2 group projects to film which were very easy assignments. The rest of the points came from class participation. An easy A. If you need a good teacher to take for theater take this one!!!

I don't like theatre. He is an amazing professor super easy class. I personally think this class was just not for me. I do think if you're all about acting you'll enjoy it. very little assignments, the reading I never did it but there was one assignment inside the textbook that was digital and other then that the book i never read a page of.

Professor Rich Hutchman is probably my most favorite this semester. Since it is an acting class, you do have to participate which I am not super comfortable with, but despite that, this class is great. He is such a sweet and understanding guy, and the class is so supportive of each other. It is such an amazing experience, probably better in person.

He's a super nice guy who genuinely cares for his students. I was forced to take acting as a GE and was skeptical at first because I thought it was gonna be cringy. I was wrong, It is a great class, you just have to show up with an open mind. 11/10 teacher.
