8 weekly quizzes (2 hour limit for 4-5 ?s) and 4 exams forming the grade. The topic-focused COVID-lecture videos made learning easier before going into class, supplemented by textbook readings and if you didn't get it before class ask during class, most of the time I didn't. Practice the practice exams was crucial for a good grade on the exams.

Dr. Wright is not easy but the class and the way I am thinking now are changing my perspective of organization.

Dr. Wright stands out as my favorite professor when I reflect on my bachelor's journey at CSULB. Years later, I am reminded of his leadership in helping me develop and strengthen values such as integrity, resilience, excellence, and low-key kindness. If I told him his teaching improved my life, he would probably pretend not to care.

Not very compassionate about life going-ons you may have outside of class, but grades on a generous curve so I felt that made up for any inflexibility as the material was tough. Online course was comprised of weekly quizzes and then a few larger exams throughout the semester, no actual assignments. Studying is key. Overall, a mediocre professor.

He wants you to pass! I barely gave effort and still managed to get a passing grade. Trust me, do all the work he assigns and you will pass (if that's what you care about)

A VERY caring professor, going in depth about the slides and questions from the students. However, his PowerPoints are extremely wordy, even for an introductory, which can be off-putting. The quizes and exams are all are online. He has online lectures in case you decide not to attend in person. He WANTS you to pass as he curves a lot for the tests.

Smart guy, awful class. You meet twice a week, one day for lecture and one for group work. If you have questions, he'll give you 5 minutes at the end of class that obviously won't be enough. What he goes over in class is hardly useful for what's graded. The material is cool if you like reddit/bugman philosophy.

Class consisted of 12 short quizzes every week worth 1% of your grade each & 4 exams every unit worth 22% of your grade each. Class is test heavy & the slides and test questions are worded weird, but I hardly watched lecture videos & only went through the slides & passed just fine because he curves everything to the highest score.

Didn't have a difficult time with this course, but it is very lecture heavy with extensive & boring videos you need to watch every week. He also isn't a very reasonable person when it comes to student inconveniences. Basically, he doesn't care if you fail at all.

Wright genuinely does not care if you pass or fail his class. He does not require you to attend class but post videos of material that you will take a quiz on every week. You are just teaching yourself the material that is very difficult to understand due to the way he words quiz and test questions. Not recommending this professor; the worst.

I took him online and we had no zoom lectures. Its basically a self teaching course, he had pre recorded videos and posted the slides. There was a quiz every Friday which consisted of the material throughout that week. Can be hard if you dont understand the work or wording of the quizzes. Other than that, just go over the slides and take notes.

His tests and quizzes are worded very weird and are hard to understand. I found that he always curved tests though so my test grade would always go up about 3-5 percent from what I actually got, which was nice. Easy to pass but not necessarily easy to get an A if you don't understand the wording of the questions.

This professor makes you teach yourself and does not care if you pass or not. He does NOT provide extra credit or allow make-ups if you miss a quiz/exam . Quizzes every week and the video lectures are very long with multiple videos. Tests questions are also worded very weird, which makes them difficult. Would not recommend this professor at all.

If you're not heavily interested in Philosophy don't take this class, online learning means 6-10 lecture 10 min videos with a quiz at the end of the week. The videos are monotone and plain so once again, have an interest in the subject. No finals, four tests per semester which is nice.

If you like philosophy I recommend taking it with this professor. He does his best to answers everyone questions and doesn't mind explaining it. However, if you do not like philosophy and just taking it for a GE, I suggested to look into something else since you need to memorize a lot. There are four tests only, no papers.

This man knows how to give really good and captivating lectures. Hes easygoing, funny, and explains things really well using creative analogies. He seems to know quite a bit in a range of fields including physics, math, and biology. A lot to remember, but he knows this and makes up for it by curving tests. Hes a cool fellow. Take him.

I underestimated this class. Test were harder than I thought and didn't know how to study for it. His lectures feel long, but are important. He explains the slides and tells you what should be on the test. Studying is important because the slides have the answers. He curves test which help alot. Overall, it's an easy A if you study. Just 3 test.

He's such a great professor & you can tell that he really cares and wants everyone to do well! He puts up the slides during class but he does not read off of them so he gives you a lot of info during class so it's best to take notes & actually show up. Grade based off of 4 tests that are very straightforward and if you pay attention you'll do well

Class consisted of 4 tests, each 100 points. They were all multiple choice and very similar to his lectures. He is good at explaining things. The powerpoints are good to study and are available online but you're able to really understand it through his lectures. Not too hard to get an A. Take good notes on what he SAYS and study.
